Trex® RainEscape Waterproofing Tape is a Self-Adhesive butyl waterproof flashing material designed to seal out moisture around Trex® RainEscape Troughs & Downspouts.
Trex® RainEscape Waterproof Tape can also be used as an underlayment to seal joists, and other openings under brick, siding, stucco or wood - anywhere a waterproof seal is needed.
Surface Preparation
Trex® RainEscape Waterproof Tape can be applied to both vertical and horizontal surfaces including, wood, composition wood panels, metal, vinyl and masonry. The surface must be clean, dry and free from oil., grease or debris. For best results it i srecomended the Trex® RainEscape Waterproof Tape be installed when temperatures are 50 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. If applied in cool weather, the rolls should be stored in dry warm place until needed. If necessary a heat gun could be used to warm the substrate and overlap.
